How To Install
The Filtered Showerhead™
This step-by-step guide will walk you through the installation of your new Novaira Haven Filtered Showerhead™. Follow these easy instructions to enjoy a cleaner and more refreshing shower experience. Ensure you have all the necessary components, including plumber’s tape, the hose, and connector, before beginning.
Installation Steps
1. Turn Off Water Supply
Before starting the installation, ensure the water supply to your shower is completely turned off. This prevents accidental water flow during the process.
2. Remove Old Showerhead
- If an existing showerhead is installed, carefully unscrew it.
- Use your hands or an adjustable wrench if it is tightly secured.
- Be mindful of any residual water that may spill out.
3. Clean the Shower Arm
- Once the old showerhead is removed, clean the threaded end of the shower arm.
- Remove any old plumber’s tape, dirt, or debris to create a clean surface for installation.
4. Apply Plumber’s Tape
- Take the plumber’s tape included with your Novaira Haven Filtered Showerhead™ and wrap it tightly around the threaded end of the shower arm.
- This helps create a secure seal and reduce the chance of leaks.
5. Attach the Connector
- Screw the connector onto the threaded end of the shower arm.
- Hand-tighten until snug.
- Do not over-tighten, as this may damage the connector or threads.
6. Attach the Hose
- Connect one end of the hose to the connector.
- Tighten it by hand until the connection feels secure.
7. Attach the Showerhead
- Connect the other end of the hose to your Novaira Haven Filtered Showerhead™.
- Hand-tighten until securely fastened.
8. Turn On Water Supply
- Slowly turn the water supply back on.
- Check the showerhead, hose, and connector for any leaks.
- If you notice a leak, gently tighten the connection.
9. Adjust Showerhead Position
Adjust the showerhead to your preferred position or angle, if applicable.
10. Test the Showerhead
Turn on the shower and verify that the water flows properly. Check all connections one more time to make sure everything is secure.
Tips for a Smooth Installation
- Keep a towel or small bucket nearby to catch any residual water.
- Hand-tighten connections whenever possible to avoid damaging the components.
- If a connection continues to leak, check the threads and ensure the plumber’s tape is applied correctly.
